Nava Law LLC
, currently is seeking a bi-lingual (Spanish) paralegal with a focus in working with the Latino community in the greater Cincinnati area. Below are the requirements for the ideal candidate and sampling of job duties.


Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate
  • Spanish and English verbal fluency: Native ability or second language ability to hold face to face and phone call client conversations, request and complete intake documents, provide case updates, consultation and request added or corrected information, able to to document, make, and change appointments in two languages
  • Ability to compose letters and standard documents in Spanish
  • Ability to translate documents from Spanish into fluent English 
  • 1-2 years of law firm experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft office (word, excel, powerpoint)
  • Experience with legal software
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Positive attitude, self-starter, detail oriented, ability to self-manage
  • Adhere to ABA Paralegal Ethics standards

Duties for a paralegal within our offices might include:

Paralegal Duties & Requirements:
Admin duties: 
  • Such as management of legal files, meeting and communicating with current and perspective clients
  • Assisting in the preparation of & response to discovery requests
    working with attorney's to prepare for trial, hearings, and on other legal matters
  • Meeting with clients at attorney’s direction for status and form completion and scheduling.

Research duties:
  • Review court civil procedures, federal, state and municipal
  • Preparation of court notices, motions and required communications
  • Conduct self in a professional manner, including timely attendance and professional
  • Conduct, maintain professional dress code and demeanor at all times
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US
